Tom Martin is a Public Relations Strategist with more than 35 years of media experience, first as a network television producer for ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC News, before moving into the field of public relations. As a PR strategist, Tom has represented bestselling authors and some of America’s best-known non-profit organizations including Feeding America and the Children’s Health Fund. During his media career, Tom has collaborated with prominent individuals including Dick Cavett, Miles Davis, Jane Goodall, Richard Gere, Vice President Al Gore, Wayne Gretzky, Paul McCartney, Paul Newman, Steven Spielberg, and Tony Robbins and his son Jairek Robbins. His PR clients have been featured on “Oprah,†“Good Morning America,†NBC’s “Today†show, and other programs seen by millions of viewers. Tom is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., with a B.A. in Philosophy, transferring to the college after spending his freshman year at The New School for Social Research. During his time at Georgetown, Tom was a member of the school’s top-ranked Intercollegiate Debate program, participating in prominent tournaments throughout the U.S. hosted by Harvard, Yale and U.C.L.A. He is proud to follow in the journalistic footsteps of his father, Ron Martin, a well-respected editor who presided over several of the nation’s most respected newspapers during his 40-year career including The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Miami Herald, and also served as the executive editor who created USA Today, America’s first “national newspaper.†Tom and his wife Joanne are the proud parents of two children, Lindsay and Eric, and a beloved beagle named Lilly. He serves on the advisory board of the Children’s Health Fund, a nationwide non-profit established by musician Paul Simon, and he is also a member of the Association of Transformational Leaders.
